A circular walk from Cómpeta passing through the white villages of Canillas de Albaida and Archez.
On this route, we will start from San Anton Chapel in Cómpeta (next to the hotel). Here, a track takes us through avocado and olive terraces to the village of Canillas de Albaida where we will cross its maze and narrow streets towards the former Moorish village of Archez where we can see the minaret of an old Almohad mosque from the 14th century, of which only the tower is preserved, built in red brick and with a square structure.
From Archez we head towards Competa stopping at Almijara Bodega where we will learn how their naturally made wines are produced and, of course, enjoy the different moscatel wines that are sold and then a tour in the small and family winery. We will be back in Competa with free time to have lunch in one of the many bars and restaurants.
